Duty of Care: In some cases, if your communication with us raises safety concerns, we will attempt to contact you to ensure that you and/or others are safe. If needed, we may pass on your contact information (if provided) to authorities who can assist in protecting you and/or others, such as a crisis service or the police. When possible, we will inform you if our concerns reach the point where we need to involve other services.

We are obligated to try to protect you and/or others if the information you provide indicates:

  • You are being seriously harmed by someone else.

  • You are considering seriously harming yourself.

  • Someone else is being, or is likely to be, seriously harmed by you or another person.

 

 

Mind Reader centres and services are available throughout Australia in metropolitan, regional, and rural areas. They support the mental health and community engagement of young Australians and their families. Mind Reader National Youth Mental Health Foundation adheres to child safety standards.
